Eleanor Mondale dies

Eleanor Mondale died early Saturday morning, according to her CaringBridge website.

Mondale, a Twin Cities media personality and daughter of Walter and Joan Mondale, died peacefully in her sleep, with her husband and dogs at her side, surrounded in the last days by all of her family and friends, said the website.

Eleanor Mondale Poling, who resided south of Prior Lake, fought brain cancer since 2005.

Eleanor was a BEAUTIFUL woman - talented and smart.

20. It is very sad, and it makes me feel old as well. I went to college
with Eleanor and even though she was a few years ahead of me, it's frightening when your peers start dying off. My condolences to the family.
