Boehner to Call for Reforms in Taxes, Entitlements

The top U.S. Republican Thursday will call on a special congressional committee to consider tax reform that would close loopholes but not raise rates as part of its bid to cut the deficit, an aide said.

House of Representatives Speaker John Boehner also will say in a speech that the "super committee'' should consider changes to benefits programs like Medicare and Social Security , according to a summary provided by his office, the aide said.

In addition, Boehner will deliver what promises to be the most comprehensive Republican response yet to President Barack Obama's proposed $447 billion jobs creation plan. Republicans so far have said they they could accept some elements of that plan but have rejected the tax increases that Obama has proposed to pay for it.

Boehner will argue that Republicans and Democrats should work together to reduce business regulations and lower taxes and spending to boost job creation and economic growth, according to his office.

5.  " And the beat goes on "
Why do sane people keep electing corrupt politicians to represent them knowing full well they don't give a damn about them or their problems?

8. I hate purchased politicians, the game is obvious, they will reach
Common ground that will reduce regulations, there will be less tax cuts for the "job creators" but there will be some, and it will be paid for by "entitlement reform".

Obama will do the usual deal and it will make the list because anything that passes (no matter how right wing) makes THE LIST, the boner will have gotten 90% of what he wanted, and as usual we will be fucked three ways from Tuesday.

I would like for the boner to spend one week in my shoes, not that it would teach him anything, but he would have to once in his life feel hunger, pain, a terminal illness with no access to care save volunteer hospice and a complete sense of hopelessness.

The same goes for the enabler and chief.
