AMES, Iowa — She danced with babies, flipped burgers for hungry tailgaters and hugged fans outside Jack Trice Stadium on Saturday morning, but Minnesota U.S. Rep. Michele Bachmann insisted the politicking was not a Hail Mary for her campaign.

"We've been in Iowa 70 days, and I think what we've been known for is our time with people and talking to people and so that's why we're here today with people again," Bachmann told reporters after 50 minutes of mingling amid the recreational vehicles, "and we're here for football."

After shake-ups among her top staff, slipping poll numbers and an overshadowed performance in the most recent debate, political observers recently began to predict Bachmann's campaign was headed for the political graveyard.

Then, U.S. Rep. Steve King, R-Kiron, a top Iowa conservative, publicly advised the congresswoman to "just dive right into the mosh pit, and go out there and campaign and be yourself," to regain momentum in the state.

Now she's just an irrelevant Whackjob RepubliBagger.

So it goes.

No promises, but you might be able to find her listed on some backwater archived page of The Google.

Is she seeking a "Second Amendment remedy?"

4. "...go out there and campaign and be yourself."
Isn't that exactly what got her into this mess, "being herself?"

"If nominated, once elected I will make it illegal for any Democrat to get any government money in any form, and send the savings to every repig voter who voted for me. Understanding that you repig sheep only care about handouts, can you ignorant, easily-led drones figure out who to vote for now?"

We have all been entertained by your acid mouth Michelle, but now your 15 minutes have expired. Perhaps you were only ever meant to be the president of Iowa, but even the thought of that seems to be a shroud that covers and chokes their sacred and fertile land which sustains all of our lives.

12. Winning Ames was the high water mark of her campaign
No wonder she still wants to live in that moment. Even her staff knows that it's "Game Over" since Perry got in the race.
