FBI Searches Solyndra Offices
Source: WSJ

By BRENT KENDALL

WASHINGTON—The Federal Bureau of Investigation said Thursday that it is executing a search warrant at the California headquarters of solar-panel maker Solyndra LLC.

Julianne Sohn, a spokeswoman for the FBI in San Francisco, said the agency was searching "multiple buildings" at the Solyndra campus in Fremont, Calif., as part of a joint investigation with the Department of Energy and that agency's inspector general's office.

Ms. Sohn declined to offer any details about the nature of the investigation or what FBI agents were seeking in the search.

Solyndra filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection this week and is engaging in a last-ditch attempt to find a buyer before plunging into bankruptcy liquidation. A $527 million federal loan guaranteed by the Energy Department is at risk in the bankruptcy.

3. Don't worry
If the Feds end up owning it, it will be sold to some oil company for $0.001 on the dollar, the oil company will then shut it down, and finally take a tax write-off at $1.00 on the dollar.

4. That's the way it works. I'd like to see the government take
over operation and make panels to fit on government buildings.
