Shots fired at Texas congressman's (Rep Gene Green’s (D-TX) office

HOUSTON, Aug. 30 (UPI) -- Police were investigating an incident in which two shots were fired at U.S. Rep. Gene Green's office in Houston, a spokesman for the Texas Democrat said.

The spokesman said no one was injured and Green was not in the office when shots were fired at the office windows, KRIV-TV, Houston, reported Tuesday.

The Harris County Sheriff's Department said the shots could have come from a BB gun or pellet gun.

It was unclear whether Green was a target of the shots, KRIV reported. The station said workers in the building who heard the gunfire initially thought it was a car backfiring, and then discovered a broken window.

The cops said it could have been a bb or pellet gun, but hey, a gun is a gun. It’s getting scary out there for the Reps.

Authorities say possible bb/pellet gun

in my experience, bb/pellet gun damage windows in a distinctive manner.

if it was a "real" gun, then you'd have bullet holes in walls or other internal fixtures in the office.

plus, witnesses seeing someone shooting a gun in, office hours, broad day light. or they could have done it on the sly. But if a car sounds like it's back firing could lend to a larger caliber, than say a .22.
