Civilian Deaths Anger Fallujah Refugees
http://story.news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=story&u=/ap/20040419/ap_on_re_mi_ea/iraq_displaced_fallujans&cid=540&ncid=1480

BAGHDAD, Iraq - Fleeing the city of Fallujah in their car, 9-year-old Gofran Mohammed's parents and three of her siblings were killed by a spray of gunfire — U.S. fire, her relatives say. Now Gofran, wounded in the attack, is huddled with other Fallujah families in Baghdad who vow never to forgive the Americans.

Since the U.S. Marines encircled the city April 5 and began battling insurgents, almost a third of Fallujah's 200,000 inhabitants have fled. Many have flooded into the capital, most with little money or clothing for a trip they thought would last only a few days.

Gofran's parents were among the refugees. Fed up with the battles and the lack of food, they loaded their seven children and a young cousin of the kids into their car April 9.

As they drove from their southern neighborhood of Nazzal, their car was riddled with bullets by American troops, said Gofran's uncle, Ahmed Elewy, who buried the bodies of his brother's family and then escaped the city four days after the shooting. It was not possible to confirm independently that U.S. fire killed the family.

2. The Pope mentioned it...
Pope says killing of Hamas leader was contrary to will of God

<snip>

“I am following with great sadness the tragic news coming from the Holy Land and Iraq. The shedding of blood by brothers must end. Such inhuman acts are contrary to the will of God,” the Pope said on Sunday."

4. Huh? What does any Hamas leader or members have to do with innocents?
Other than Hamas targeting and killing innocents I don't see the relationship here to the story.

3. But what can they do about it? Nothing.
The Iraqis under the Bush occupation are like the Jews in Nazi Germany and before it's over it will be every bit as horrible.

5. The name Fallujah will echo throughout history as a war crime
It is apparent that our military is controlled by simplistic, vicious moral munchkins. Two dimensional psychotic simpletons in a three dimensional world, totally unable to comprehend or predict the behavior of others. How did this happen? It seems the Marines are the worst, is this so? Should we cashier all Marine officers and deprogram the brainwashed marine soldiers? (Particularly, before they target us in "Operation Urban Warrior.")

Krazy Killer Kimmet (Army, yes?) collapsed into his mike stand. I don't know exactly why of course -- but he must be confused that his tough talk and carried out threats of death haven't worked. Hello Kimmet, it's a complicated world out there.

6. Can you imagine a similar headline for September 12, 2001:
Civilian Deaths Anger New York Residents

Of course, such understatement would be outrageous, New York residents being (OK, har har) human beings, which is to say, Americans, while the citizens of fallujah were only days ago subjects of vociferous cries for extermination all over these great and moral United States. Despicable.
