EXCLUSIVE: Halperin Reinstated at MSNBC

MSNBC senior political analyst Mark Halperin will be returning to the network this week, according to an MSNBC spokesperson, saying it had been a one-month suspension.

Halperin was suspended after he called President Obama a "dick" on the Morning Joe program June 30. He thought the remark was being bleeped out when he made it.

Halperin made the comment in reference to Obama's demeanor in a news conference. Halperin apologized immediately, but was suspended indefinetly by the network, which turned out to be about a month. Halperin had called his suspension "totally appropriate."

Halperin is editor-at-large and senior political analyst for TIME and before that was a 20-year vet at ABC news, serving as political director from 1997 to 2007.

4. This was a complete set-up. Halperin knew he was

speaking when he did it. Suspending him was another way to fool all of us. The "letting go" of Olbermann and Cenk was in the works long before they were gone. Just noticing how many Repubs have been on Chuck Toad and Ms Long in the Tooth Greenspan makes me realize they were falling in line too. We have been played.

Just saw that Chris Hayes is getting a show and...sadly, that Rachel has signed a contract extension through 2014.

I was so hoping that she would go to Current.

who so obviously goaded him into it and lied about the tape delay should have been suspended right along with him.

That's what's so infuriating about this. Conservatives still live in a parallel universe where the laws of decency don't apply.
