Madison -- State elections officials Monday took a Republican Assembly lawmaker off the ballot in a recall election against a Democratic senator.

The state Government Accountability Board voted unanimously to leave Rep. John Nygren (R-Marinette) off the ballot in the July 19 recall election for Sen. Dave Hansen (D-Green Bay) in the 30th Senate District. The board found that Nygren fell just short of collecting the 400 valid nominating signatures needed to qualify for the ballot, finding he collected only 398 valid signatures.

The repigs are sloppy because they're used to living on the Easy Street of Wingnut Welfare, AKA the Petty Cash Drawer of the Koch Kriminal Konspiracy.

5. This almost ensures the Dem win.
The only puke left on the ballot has a dodgy past and sketchy personality.

7. Ha
Outside of the Green Bay Bullfrogs baseball field last week at Joanees Park a couple of clean cut white kids, probably in their early twenties, were tring to get signatures for Nygren before the game. We do not live in the district, and my wife did not know who Nygren was or why he was collecting signatures. I told my wife, quite loudly, Nygren is the anal orifice (not really the vocabulary I used) that is trying to replace Dave Hanson. We know Dave and like him. Hopefully the Nygren workers got the message and gave up.

12. Collecting 424 to get 400 is a serious miscalculation.
There are always some bad signatures - duplicates etc. People say they are registered in a certain area and are not. He should have collected at minimum 450 to get 400. Getting 398 with only 424 collected is actually sort of a fluke. I wouldn't be surprised if there weren't a few more invalid signatures.
