BREA, Calif. — Police say a Southern California man was shot to death while trying to steal medical marijuana from a deliveryman.

Brea police Sgt. Jim Griffin says 20-year-old Minh Kinh Dang of Santa Ana and at least three friends confronted the pot dispensary deliveryman and his armed security guard Wednesday night in the alley of an apartment complex.

Gtiffin says the security guard fired three shots at Dang, who was holding a handgun. Arriving officers found Dang dead at the scene.

Now the bigger issue here is that Legal MMJ Patients have no right to have any Guns to protect their homes from armed invasion Robbers period...
Fact..
Many home invasion Robberies have occurred recently... Patients who had a gun were Charges with Felonies on both Pot and having a Gun...
No Medical defense is allowed in Federal Courts so Legal Patients go directly to Federal Prison..
This tactic is used all the time by Local Police...
So in nut shell.. MMJ Patients are not getting the due process of law and are not allowed to have a gun in the home for protection..
This is a total violation of their rights by design....

The police can't be everywhere (and we wouldn't want them to be). Citizens need a way to protect themselves and their legitimate businesses from the criminals.

10. This OP is highly California-centric. Patients in other states should

know the law in their own State. Here in Oregon MMJ patients have the same rights as anyone, to conceal and carry and the works.

All MMJ States are going after Patients with Guns they legally own..
Your post is a good one to point out that progress is being made on this issue..
But the reality is that Many Local Police Departments, City, and County Officials re interpret the laws to gain a advantage to pursue their agenda to eradicate cannabis and persecute users... FACT...
Not all MMJ States are equal either.....
