Biden tells donors: Keep me in mind for 2016
Source: Politico

Vice President Joe Biden surprised a gathering of donors in Cincinnati last week when he floated the prospect of his succeeding President Barack Obama in the White House.

Biden, who started in the Senate young and would be just 70 in 2012, raised the possibility unprompted during a wide-ranging conversation at the May 19 dinner with major Democratic Party donors, a source in the room said.

The Vice President, who has never ruled in or out running in six years, told the group he hadn't made up his mind, and cited both political conditions and his own health as relevant factors.

But the spontaneous suggestion caught the attention of at least some in the audience, said the guest, "given he volunteered that without prompting...and given the audience."

22. He started campaigning for President in 1978, when he was just 36

Too young to run. I met him then, when he was standing on the fountain at Revelle College at UCSD, addressing a small crowd of students.

26. I would have to ignore that he
made sure 3 additional women did not testify as to serious incidences of sexual harassment perpetrated by Justice Thomas during his confirmation hearing while Biden was Chair of the House Judiciary Committee, effectively ensuring smooth sailing for the S.C. Justice whose total contribution to the SC has been pointing to Scalia and uttering, "What he said." Biden? PLEASE tell me this is not the best the Democrats can dredge up for 2016.

10. I'm hoping Gov. Brian Schweitzer of Montana will run. Mid 50's,
country boy, smart, has the common sense of a farmer/rancher, progressive, and has a seriously strong spine.

Seems like a really good guy.

27. Howard Dean has turned Faithful Party Boy
and sold out his values in the process -- just like most of them. He just jumped on the Charter School is Good bandwagon.

I like him a lot. I think he will be too old. It would be better to have a fresh face in 2016.

25. I like Joe Biden, but I wouldn't vote for him
He's an "Israel-first" and as far as I can tell, that has been extremely detrimental as a policy to the USA.

I'm prepared to get lambasted, but understand that the US is my sovereign nation - it isn't Israel, and it isn't going to be any time soon, no matter what my religion might be.

74 is way too old to be an effective campaigner.
