Osama Bin Laden Escape Plan: Money Found Stitched in Bin Laden's Clothes
Source: ABC News

Osama bin Laden appeared to be ready to run at any time with money stitched into his clothes on the day he was shot dead by elite Navy SEALs.

Bin Laden's clothing had 500 euros sewn into it, sources told ABC News. Intelligence officials are also analyzing 10 cell phones, 10 computers and a 100 thumb drives confiscated from the sprawling compound in Abbottabad, Pakistan, during the 40-minute raid that resulted in bin Laden's death.

The cell phones and thumb drives were likely used by the two couriers living with bin Laden. Officials are going through each computer running keyword searches using words like "explosives" or "weddings." Weddings is a word often used by al Qaeda to signify a bombing. They are also tracing the phone numbers found.

"There's a lot we have to go through, some encryption, some coding. It's in another language. It's in Arabic, so there's a lot to go through before we really find out what we have, but remember small pieces of information can be critically important," said Mike Rodgers, R-Mich., chairman of the House Intelligence Committee.

1. The mother-load of data with regards to terror
I would bet there will be additional missions executed from the data retrieved here. FAR MORE than any water-boarding exercises.

14. somethings wrong with our data mining/gps systems we're spending enourmous amt of $$$
seems like they had this compound in the cross hairs for a few months at the least. and our global tech detectors weren't able to zero in on these devices and mine info before the raid?

Interesting.

4. 500 Euros, 10 cell phones, 10 computers, 100 thumb drives. 40 minute raid.
Everything in tidy multiples of ten. 500 Euros? How does the world's greatest terrorist manage to end up with chump change sewn into his clothing? Is this more psy-ops, designed to make him look like a loser?

6. 500 Euros gets him some distance
to wherever he has a real cache. You don't suppose he walked around with his clothes heavily padded with cash, do you? Particularly after being used to being sheltered by the Pakistani government for years.

7. 500 Euros probably goes a long way in Pakistan
Especially if all you want to do is lay low for a couple of days and skidaddle to the next safe house (hence also the phone #s).

11. Nobody said that there was only one 500 euro note!
Besides, people there are dirt poor. You can hire a hit man for $80 probably. You can pay people next to nothing for anything you want. Fuel is not cheap though.

10. 'Weddings is a word often used by al Qaeda to signify a bombing.'
And the media has been saying for a long time that the USA has been bombing weddings and funerals. I can't get my mind around this with the confusion of war propaganda from all sides.

12. First thought that came to mind for me was all the weddings we bombed.
Is this part if the reason for the confusion that causes these mishaps?

16. Could have been. Or perhaps Taliban bombings of those who resisted them, were reported as weddings.
There are so many sides, too many people pushing their agendas. One side says Americans love killing people at peaceful gatherings, the other that they weren't peaceful at all.

It struck me again that we will never be able to ferret out the truth. Reports of our wrongdoing may be true or may be propaganda from the Bin Laden factions. I believe some reports were true about American wrongdoing. And that no matter what the truth really is, our soldiers and our country are going downhill from being there.

Soldiers are committing suicide, others asking why they must stay there to protect our 'allies.' They see them doing horrible things to their people, but can't interfere, because they're the 'good' guys. But they really aren't, and neither are we for protecting them. The whole place is a nightmare, we're making it worse and it's time to leave.

17. This is exactly what I was thinking when I read this.
How many "weddings" did we bomb that were actually gatherings of terrorists? How many times have they used this to make us look bad? Both sides use propaganda.
