Written by: Agence France-Presse

WASHINGTON — The Google executive who became the hero of the Egyptian revolution cropped up at the pinnacle of international finance Friday, chiding the elites for supporting strongman Hosni Mubarak.

Dressed in faded Levis, an open-necked striped shirt and casual loafers, Ghonim, 30, filled his billing as “Internet activist” in the roundtable discussion notably featuring IMF chief Dominique Strauss-Kahn.

Ghonim, Google’s head of marketing for the Middle East and North Africa, became an Internet star after administering a Facebook page that helped spark the uprising that toppled Mubarak’s regime.

“To me what was happening was a crime, not a mistake,” he said.

3. Can you explain that? Not that there would be anything wrong
with that. But he is absolutely correct and all the corruption that has gone on for decades the support of dictators, the destruction of third world countries by the IMF and the The World Bank, Colonialism, wars, the coups against the people's chosen leaders, all of it is being laid bare now as country after country in Africa and the ME and formerly S. America, throws off the evils of Global Capitalism.

He doesn't want to be in politics, that was never his goal, but he cares deeply about his country and is a symbol of the fury of literally billions of people whose voices were silenced, by torture and oppression with the approval of Western colonialists as he points out, for far too long in far too many countries.

Now the bubble has burst. These countries do not want any more interference in their affairs. And if the old cold warriors do not accept that, these regions will remain unstable and the whole world will suffer.

They pillaged these countries for so long it's a hard addiction to give up, and Gonim is correct, the support of these dictators IS a crime against millions of human beings, and I would like to know why this country has been doing it for so long.
