Bush: 'What We're Doing in Iraq Is Right'
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Today: April 11, 2004 at 9:01:01 PDT

FORT HOOD, Texas (AP) -

President Bush on Sunday braced the country for the possibility of more American casualties in Iraq while saying the U.S.-led mission is just. "What we're doing in Iraq is right," Bush said after attending an Easter service at a chapel on this sprawling base.

"Today, on bended knee, I thank the good Lord" for protecting U.S. troops, Bush said before heading to a military hospital to meet with wounded soldiers who have returned recently from Iraq.

In fighting across Iraq over the past week, almost 50 American soldiers and more than 550 Iraqis have been killed. At least 649 U.S. soldiers have died in Iraq since the war began in March 2003.

Bush said it was "hard to tell" whether Americans should expect to see more of the kind of deadly weeks that the military just sustained. But, he said, "We're plenty tough."

Accompanying the president on the half-day trip were his wife, mother-in-law, twin daughters, parents and national security adviser Condoleezza Rice.

1. Is condi his companion and nurse. Psycho
people need companions so that they don't hurt them selves. He does need a caretaker.

2. "We're" Plenty Tough...
I hope he doesn't include himself in the "we're." The coward declined to settle SH's challenge man to man. Thousands of innocent people's blood is on his hands because he is a girly-man who sends real women to fight for him.

7. Get off your macho trip. Many women have more courage in a fingernail
than men do. Real courage involves things like NOT fighting.

11. You got that one right
The majority rules, but not in junior's case. He has no quarrel with no one but himself. The thing is he can't figure it out and neither can Condi.

8. Bush is plenty tough
to fight a war while on vacation. It's good to know that he suffered and bled right along with the troops while he spent the week fishing. God I hate Bush. I just absolutely, totally, completely, unrelentingly, with great fury and righteous anger DESPISE THAT PIECE OF SHIT!

And the response.

12. WTF?
On "bended knee", he is praying for the soldiers he sent over there to die. But no prayers for the innocent civilians he will be killing.

"We're plenty tough"??! Hey Bush*! Why don't you get off your bended knee and go to a funeral of one of our fallen soldiers? Or better yet, if you are so tough, why don't you, monkeyboy, go over there and join in the fray.

16. Bush: "Antlers sprouting from my feet are GOOD."
"Today, on bended knee, I thank the good Lord" for protecting U.S. troops, Bush said before heading to a military hospital to meet with wounded soldiers who have returned recently from Iraq.

I wonder what kind of a welcome he received.

I heard Bush* on TV saying that "we" had a rough week-- Huh? I guess fishing can be kind of rough, relaxing and enjoying life can be rough on spoiled brats.

26. Oh, for a little separation of church and state
This stuff gives me the creeps. Quite sincerely. The head of the executive branch in his religious photo-op, thanking his god for protecting his army. Creepy, just creepy.

If there is a god, I imagine he has his fingers in his ears: "lalalala, I'm not listening!"
