GM workers' bonuses may top $3,200
Source: Detroit Free Press

General Motors' hourly workers may receive 2010 profit-sharing checks that average more than $3,200, a person familiar with the situation told the Free Press. That would possibly double GM's highest payout from previous years.

The person declined to give details on how much higher the amount could go. Other news media outlets on Tuesday pegged the bonuses at more than $3,000, as GM prepares to post its first annual profit since 2004 in the weeks ahead.

Precedents set by Ford and Chrysler show the figure may be more than the UAW's profit-sharing formula requires -- and could change at the last minute.

2. I wonder about that word, "average."
Is it the average of one Vice President getting $600,000, and 200 workers getting a dollar each?

5. All the auto workers' bonuses combined, equal about one banker's
bonus.

So glad the Republicans were so munch in support of saving the auto industry with tax dollars...NOT!!!!!!!
