Venezuela nabs 3 foreign drug smugglers wanted by Interpol
14:07, January 17, 2011

Venezuela has detained three foreign drug smugglers wanted by Interpol and will expel them in a few days, Interior Minister Tarek el Aissami said on Sunday.

One of them is Colombian Gloria Rojas, 56, a member of Mexico's Los Zetas drug cartel who is also wanted by a New York tribunal for cocaine smuggling, he told reporters.

Canadian Robert Stead who tried to traffick heroin to U.S., Canada and European markets, was detained in the Margarita Island on Jan. 13, said the minister.

Dutch Anton Herbam Merk, 61, was detained on Jan. 14. He is also wanted by the Dutch government for links to several Colombian criminal groups and drug trafficking.

5. No real problem, right-wingers NEVER throw fits about it, after all, the tortured & murdered people
are leftists, or suspected leftists.

Not a shadow of a doubt what moral convolutions are needed for complete silence on Colombia massacre matters, and the shrieking and howling ensuing when Hugo Chavez sneezes, or makes a speech, or is given constitutional authority like the authority given to previous Venezuelan Presidents, and the other Latin American Presidents in recent years.

The fact Alvaro Uribe's secret service spied upon, wire-tapped all his political opponents, even the Supreme Court which had denied him his unprecidented 2nd re-election never elicited even a faint poot from these citizens. That would have taken time out from the Hugo Chavez screech-fest.

4. The Gift that keeps on giving!
Should be a lesson for all. Toss out the US DEA, allow your police and intelligence people to develop their own leads and watch what happens.

Quote from source article "In 2010, 15 foreign drug smugglers wanted by the Interpol were detained and expelled by the Venezuelan government."
