Bush Compares a Guest to His Mother, but She Is Not Amused
The Associated Press
Published: Apr 6, 2004

EL DORADO, Ark. (AP) - President Bush has a penchant for dishing out good-natured insults, and usually the victim laughs along. But Sammie Briery didn't seem much amused when Bush fired one at her Tuesday.

Bush was wrapping up a town hall-style appearance at South Arkansas Community College when he let the jest fly. It was a mother joke, a blonde joke and an insult all in one.

"You and my mother go to the same hair-dye person," Bush said to Briery, whose blondish bob bore little resemblance to Barbara Bush's shock of white hair.

The audience in the gymnasium laughed, and Briery smiled, but replied firmly: "President Bush, I'm a natural blonde."

28. More evidence of his psychopathy
Adolf Guggenbuhl-Craig would probably call him a "compensated psychopath."

The Compensated Psychopath

Individuals approaching the psychopathic extreme are not totally wanting in morality, but they do sense a weakness, an awareness that something is missing, which frightens them. They also suspect that their love is not all it could or should be. In order to adapt they begin to compensate for these deficiencies by becoming morally rigid.

Since compensated psychopaths cannot depend upon eros, their egos work out a moral system which is fool-proof in any and every situation. The result, as paradoxical as it may seem, is usually a well-developed morality with an emphasis upon the ego's role but woefully lacking in love.

Compensated psychopaths have played significant parts in society and in history. The more psychopathic compensated psychopaths are - in other words the more they have to compensate - the more sinister they are. All the Nazi functionaries who administered the concentration camps and supervised the destruction of thousands and thousands of human beings; all of Stalin's subordinates who, during the time of the Soviet purges, directed the arrests and deaths of innumerable individuals; all of Mao's minions who so efficiently effected the disappearance of large portions of the Chinese population -certainly all of these people were compensated psychopaths.

"hair-dye person" .. meaning a person required to complete a standardized training program, meet legal standards, and at least in our state, pass and maintain state licensing requirements? Isn't job training one of his new bunny trails? Let's encourage our unemployed Americans to become "hair-dye persons". Or "answer the drive up window persons". Or "protect our cities from fire persons". I imagine he has a "person" to do just about anything he can dream up.

All I can say is Lucky, Lovely, Laura. To be married to Mr. President!

That she may be, probably is when she is with Bush* but the words were not writen by whom she said. It was just another meaningless lie told to make all the Stepford wives feel good about "That Lump in the Bed" and her Romantic Husband.

8. That link leads to a different story now, new link
.
.
.

and the REST of the conversation goes like this:
_______________________________________________________________

"Oh, yes," Bush agreed.

"I'm just a natural blonde," she repeated.

"I couldn't help myself, sorry," Bush shrugged.

With that, Bush moved quickly to end the session. He turned to Bob Watson, superintendent of the El Dorado Public Schools - who had opened the meeting by inadvertently insulting Bush.

"Governor - excuse me, President," Watson said.

Bush muttered, "How quickly they forget."

When Watson offered to shake Bush's hand, the president shot back: "Just don't hug me."

40. So. true, if it weren't for this instance we'd never know
our president's true personality.

What amazes me is the constant fawing over Bush and any puke president by the right. They just fall right in line behind whoever it it and fawn away. It reminds me of the line "every woman adores a fascist" from a Plath poem about her father.

In the republican party, there is only one man, Bush, and all the men and women around him are his bitches, down to the very last repub somewhere out in the mountains of Montana. The whole dynamic of that party is some weird S/M, B&D scene, with the whole party lusting after whoever happens to be playing "Daddy" at the moment.

Did anyone else notice how Bush slurred his speech? I mean more than usual.

I had an uncle that was a major alcoholic and Bush acted JUST like my uncle when he 'had a few'. Forgetting names, looking for people that wasn't there, and cracking rude jokes. Sounds just like my uncle. I'm willing to bet that Bush had a few before getting up on stage.

27. slurred speech
about a year ago I was napping on the couch with the TV on. I awoke to a Bush speech-I thought it was a nightmare - I thought at the time that he must have found the key to the WH liquor cabinet. He was slurring his words. These vacations to Crawford may be so they can dry him out.

I saw a compilation of his bizarre performance in Arkansas yesterday on Countdown, and my first thought was, oh my god, he's smashed.

There our pResident was, spinnin' and grinnin', asking a tall man if anyone calls him "Stretch" and guffawing at his funny. He was all bunched up in his chair with his head a'bobbin throwing out insults to almost everyone on stage.

My amazement turned to fury that we had soldiers dying while he was up on stage chuckling and acting like a lunatic. This guy is fucking LOSING it. The whole country should be angry and terrified that a madman is in "charge" (and I use the term loosely).

Huh? If one insults another how can it be "good-natured"?

insult

n 1: a rude expression intended to offend or hurt; "when a student made a stupid mistake he spared them no abuse"; "they yelled insults at the visiting team" 2: a deliberately offensive act or something producing the effect of an affront; "turning his back on me was a deliberate insult" v : treat, mention, or speak to rudely; "He insulted her with his rude remarks"

That would explain why we don't have any affairs to air. After all, he saw the "Putties's soul" when he looked in his eyes. He gives all the men affectionate nicknames. He'll like the guys in his next Big House if we can get him guilty as charged on 1 of 100's of possibilities.
