"Big Impact"
Iraq weapons strategy
The Pentagon adopted a new strategy in its search for Iraq's weapons of mass destruction. It is called the "big impact" plan.
The plan calls for gathering and holding on to all the information now being collected about the weapons. Rather than releasing its findings piecemeal, defense officials will release a comprehensive report on the arms, perhaps six months from now.

1. no matter how you slice it,
it's spin doctoring. if they had real evidence, the timing and presentation wouldn't matter. the fact that they're talking "strategy" instead of "evidence", is telling.

2. Whadda buncha shit.
This is nothing but a thin rationale for taking their time, planting the evidence, covering their tracks, and batching their lies so they can :puke: it all over our national consicenceness in one big reeking torrent.

4. "perhaps six months from now."
Damn, they'll do anything to put off the evil day when they'll have to admit the Iraqi Adventure was a colossal fuckup.

"What about the WMDs?"

"Oh, be patient, wait for the report, that will justify everything."

Time it to release on the opening day of the Kobe Bryant trial. That would be a genius move.

6. 6 months from now......hmmm, the height of dem primary season!!
AND......they let the path to the evidence finds run cold, cold, cold.

I guess we will just have to take their word for it when they say what it is, who put it there, when it was put there.....etc. etc.

I kind of wish I was as dumb as they seem to need me to be.

7. Ok that answers my question
"Just how long does it take to deliver, "hide", "discover" and report on 30,000 chemical warheads and 500 tons of Sarvin Nerve Gas?"

But Holy Salted Ground, Batman........SIX MONTHS!!!!!!!!!!!

Man that Clinton dude sure messed up our military logistics capability, didn't he? :eyes: :eyes: :eyes: :eyes:

9. Again, it's important to mention...
... who's behind this program to find "programs." David Kay is too tied up with the m-i complex through SAIC, and his credibility is questionable in that he was dismissed from the UNSCOM team early in its life for unethical behavior. If this administration were actually after some semblance of the truth in the matter, the last person they would have employed for the task would be David Kay....

Cheers.

10. considering how they've creamed their jeans at hydrogen trailers,
fertilizer, souvenirs from the garden and every other tidbit of an excuse they could lay their mitts on, I think we can safely agree that they have a fine collection of dick, bupkus and squat.

They will gin something up and scientifically focus test and consult for the optimum backtiming from the election. At some point, people will just roll their eyes. The administration's already lost the real battle: nothing was deployed, nothing huge existed and they lied lied lied.

11. that gives AWOL Inc. six months to avoid the questions
of where are the WMD's... "we told you we would issue a report in 6 months so stop asking...."

sounds alot like the spin on the economy "....recovery is around the corner....next quarter we'll have improvement....."

reminds me of the days of "duck and cover", in this instance they are ducking the issue and covering their ass

12. So the Pentagon is now releasing information
on a time table designed for domestic political purposes to flood us with unreliable information in the middle of primaries so that the people can not sort out the details themselves.

Methinks that there will be leaks.

13. Bush playing politics with America again
The Democrats better counter this with a massive attack on Bush "playing politics" with the American people.

15. The Paperwork War???
Is that what we invaded Iraq for, to relieve them of their dastardly paperwork? They have nothing. Besides, aren't we supposed to know that a weapon actually exists BEFORE we invade another country? What did the intelligence show about the actual existence of weapons that indicated an imminent threat?

"President Bush on Wednesday said "miles of documents" have been gathered and are being analyzed. He described the material as containing "mounds of evidence" on Iraq's weapons."

16. First reported by PNAC Gary Schmitt July 17 on BBC
http://www.bbc.co.uk/pressoffice/pressreleases/stories/2003/07_july/17/hardtalk_schmittgary.shtml

This is the link to the BBC HardTalk program for July 17 where Tim Sebastion grilled PNAC Executive Director Gary Schmitt on the situation in Iraq.

Mr. Schmitt fielded numerous questions by referring to this upcoming report in six months. How curious that it's first announced by PNAC in Europe then followed weeks later by a statement from the Pentagon.

Another fine showing of who's really in charge.
