WASHINGTON (AP) — The Senate's top Democrats and Republicans will keep their positions following leadership elections Tuesday as Congress convened for a lame-duck session.

Sen. Harry Reid, D-Nev., will continue as majority leader and Sen. Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., will stay on as minority leader in the new Congress next year.

1. Thanks to the teabaggers.
The grifter and other losers lost the Senate for the GOP.

2. Dag nabbit
I've nothing against Harry Reid but we needed someone aggressive with a big mouth in that position.

I'm just frustrated with the wimpy go along to get along mentality of many of the Democrats in Congress.

11. Reid will continue to be majority leader. The GOP doesn't
own the Senate next year.

3. Not a LOT of teabagger wins...
but Orange Boner and Chinless are going to spend the next two years herding cats. They'll accomplish little while their frustration grows exponentially. Can Boner handle it, or is he going to lose his shit?

As an added bonus, Kkkarl has lost much of his former control over the direction of the Republics as the teahadists have dragged the party to the extreme, insane right.

I can't help but think this next Congress is going to be more fun than a barrel of monkeys - with ten times more poo-slinging.

10. Schumer very likely would have sought the position if Reid lost, but none of us can know what

Schumer actually hoped. Hell, it's possible Schumer himself isn't 100% sure what he actually hoped.
