Biden to raise cash for White (D-Ne)

WASHINGTON — Vice President Joe Biden is coming to Omaha this month to help raise campaign cash for Democrat Tom White's congressional bid.

Biden will join White at a Sept. 30 fundraising event at Field Club, said Ian Russell, White's campaign manager.

“We are honored to have the vice president visit Nebraska, and Tom looks forward to talking with him about creating jobs and reducing the deficit,” Russell said. “Vice President Biden knows what he's getting in Tom White: an independent leader who will always put Nebraska first.”

White is running against Republican incumbent Lee Terry in Nebraska's Omaha-based 2nd Congressional District.
