5. Well there were other ways, but they were dependant on global goodwill

towards America.

But instead we have Bush-Occupied Imperial Amerika, which the world hates and fears...rightfully so. They wouldn't piss on us if we were burning to death, nowadays.

Would that Chimp* had stayed in Afghanistan and prepped our Special Forces for deep strikes all over the world. Most governments would have let us in, based on post-9/11 goodwill, had it not been squandered, and we could have been uprooted 1 al-Qaeda cell at a time.

Now, of course, al-Qaeda is stronger than ever (Thanks, Chimp*!) and, as I said, the world would rather we dried up and blew away (which Chimp* economic policies i.e.fraud and theft insures).

If the Republicans had just taken a look in the mirror and saw their own misdeeds, they wouldn't have tried to nail Clinton for getting a little intern action. Then we wouldn't have had all that "wag the dog" nonsense, and then Richard Clarke could have put together the deep strike missions you talk about BEFORE 9/11 even happened.

Still, though, we are where we are. What are we supposed to do about it now?

There are two kinds of Muslims, the radical and the non-radical. If the radical poses as non-radical, how are we supposed to stop terrorism coming from them? We're screwed.

give us the benefit of the doubt anymore. How can anyone take our word for it, now? How can anyone feel predisposed toward us, now that we've so blatantly and unrepentently lied? Lies of such international magnitude - we invaded a bloomin' COUNTRY. Lots of people got killed. Lots more got wounded seriously. Lots of damage and wreckage and radiation and calamity. Who's gonna believe us anymore? Those who've said that it's going to take one or maybe two generations to heal some of the wounds inflicted by this awful regime are correct, I fear. If we even get off THAT easy.

Do you smoke? Drink? Eat red meat? Live anywhere near a chemical plant or big city?

There are about a zillion more likely ways for you to die than in a terrorist attack. Put it in perspective.

But nobody gets out of here alive. "In the long run, we're all dead."

You can react to this startling fact one of two ways: You could live in fear and spend all your time trying to avoid death. Thing is, you'll die anyway. Or you could spend what time you have on earth pursuing more interesting and constructive pursuits.

I chose option #2.

Our guards and reservists have been thrown into that black hole called Iraq to make Bush a lot of money and help his friends. There are no guards and reservists here now to keep the ports and infrastructure safe, there are no guards and reservists here now to protect the homeland.

So al-Qaeda is somehow considered "traditional Islamic"?
