Judge sets bail at $2,500 for teens accused in cross burning

EVERETT — A Snohomish County Superior Court judge has set bail at $2,500 for each of the teens accused of burning a cross in a black pastor's front yard.

In a courtroom at the Denney Youth Center this morning, Judge Gerald Knight ruled that prosecutors have probable cause to move forward with the malicious-harassment allegations facing the two 16-year-old cousins, said Deputy Prosecutor Dave Kurtz.

Kurtz said his office has until Wednesday afternoon to decide whether they will charge the two boys. If convicted of malicious harassment each teen could serve up to 30 days at the Denney Youth Center.

2. They got off on forgiveness

The pastor in a radio interview said he had to practice what he preached which was granting forviveness on the perpretrators. What I missed is whether he thought justice should be served...He also volunteered to minister to the young men
