(Funeral) Protester likely to face no charges

Charges against a Westboro Baptist Church leader are going to be dismissed.

Sarpy County Attorney Lee Polikov is working out a deal with Shirley Phelps-Roper.

She was charged with negligent child abuse and disturbing the peace for a protest in Bellevue three years ago.

The trial did not start Monday as scheduled because Phelps-Roper's attorney and Polikov were negotiating an agreement.

2. I've been thinking about these folks recently (the crackpots at Westboro)

and it struck me: Where are all the righteous patriot teabaggers in KS and where ever else these useless pieces of crap go? Where are they 'supporting the troops'. Where are the all the Veterans groups? Why aren't they working to shut/shout down these a-holes? Where are all these chest thumping Christians defending their the rights of their faith?

If any of these groups really cared about the troops and their families, they would organize and be ready so that when soldiers coming home for the last time they would be there in large numbers to encircle, drown out, block the view of, and generally intimidate by sheer numbers these worthless pricks.

I mean hell, there are only a few dozen of these jackwagons....it would only take a hundred or two to completely dwarf and overcome them. The vet groups should get together with city religious leaders and just take charge. Many religious organizations have come out and claim this kind of hate mongering has nothing to do with Chritianity......put your money where your mouths are and take some action. PROVE you don't condone this behavior otherwise it is just empty talk.

I'm floored that vet groups have let this go on this long. They have just as much right to attend these services as the Phelps crowd.

Rise up and shut them down!

The Patriot Guard Riders are more or less apolitical, but I know many of them and they are all Tea Party-types.
They try their best to block family of the deceased's view of the WBC assholes.

to where someone will get so pissed that they will either commit or hire someone to pull off a drive by durring their picketing

other than natural causes.

Personally, I don't see why the world should be so stingy about granting his request.
