TRENDING: DGA calls for Fox News to run disclaimer
Source: CNN

(CNN) - With the knowledge that Fox News' parent company recently cut a $1 million check to the Republican Governors Association, the leader of the Democratic Governors Association is calling on the cable news network to run a "formal disclaimer" when it covers gubernatorial races.

"I request that you add a formal disclaimer to your news coverage any time any of your programs cover governors or gubernatorial races between now and Election Day," DGA executive director Nathan Daschle wrote in the letter to Roger Ailes. "<…>If you do not add a disclaimer, I request that you and your staff members on the 'fair and balanced' side of the network demand that the contribution be returned."

2. Asking Fixed Noise to be HONEST? THERE'S an idea they will
reject!

This is turning into a political WWF wrestling match. I grew up in the days of Republican scares over Kennedy being accused of giving the nation over to the Pope. What's next? Obama accused of giving the nation over to Osama?

Fox "News" is a joke, and at least now most Americans will see it as such. At least we rational and reasonably intelligent folks can see that and hope the rest of the folks are just as well. At least we can hope, but with Sharron Angle running, and Bachmann ahead in her district again, I wonder.

4. This is pathetic. Oh please stop hitting me! Please stop! Yeah, you'll stop, won't you?
'Cuz it's the right thing to do? Won't you?

CRIMINY!!!! They have NO INTENTION of listening to ANYTHING that Democratic ANYBODIES request. They hold our side in total contempt. TOTAL contempt! It's like with any big corporation or business. They will NOT do the "right thing" - unless you MAKE THEM do it. You have to FORCE the issue, because they won't come along voluntarily. Asking that it be done will only get you laughed at. Only now, they don't do it politely or behind closed doors to spare anybody's feelings. They laugh straight into your face.

:banghead:

6. Good Grief !!!
We have an important election coming and this is where they waste their time?? Is there supposed to be some moral victory in this?? They couldn't have actually expected Fox to say "sorry, we plan to change our ways", could they??

GET BACK TO WORK !!!

10. In order to be able to send the media a copy of something,
you first have to have to write something you can copy. I doubt the DGA expected Ailes to do anything constructive or honest about the letter, but I bet they expected the media to publicize it. Mission accomplished.

5. ....and at least now most Americans will see it as such
I wish you were right but, expect answers like this from repubs:

1. At least Fox is doing something to get rid of the socialist...
2. Hey, small price to pay when all the other networks are liberal...
3. There is nothing wrong with that, they still are more fair and balanced than the rest of the liberal media...

etc, etc...

These people do not accept reality and will find arguments to justify this act by "fix news".

The one good thing is that it eliminates the argument from their side that Fox is not biased, and unfair...
