'Anti-Islamic' bus ads appear in major cities

A group called 'Stop Islamization of America' is promoting ads on major city public transportation that urge people to leave the Muslim faith. The anti-Islamic campaign is sparking thought about the religion's place in American society.

The growing debate over Islam's place in America, which is escalating in light of plans to build a mosque near ground zero, is increasingly playing out on city streets across the country. On the sides of buses, to be precise.

Several groups are engaging in something of a religious ad war over the merits and misconceptions of Islam, a religion that remains a mystery to many Americans.

Ads by a group calling itself Stop Islamization of America, which aims to provide refuge for former Muslims, read: "Fatwa on your head? Is your family or community threatening you? Leaving Islam? Got questions? Get answers!"

17. I object to that first picture.
These extreme religions and non-extreme religions made extreme by followers are really nightmares.

I mean, Cinderella is a fair tail. The Christian Coalition is some perverse horror that includes, murder, torture, political propaganda to support wars to kill people, etc.

4. Geller is still exploiting Rifqa Bary?
That girl is dying of cancer, what a ghoul.

People should be free to choose their own religion and be able to change it at any time, is Pamela's interest in freedom of religion or scapegoating Muslims?

8. How about ads for those who want to leave Christianity...
but can't due to threats from one's own family of being disowned.

Or bus ads that say "Moderate Christian? Come on, you know the Bible is evil stop making excuses & providing cover for extremist"

"Moderate Christian? So you support slavery, mass murder, rape and hatred toward other groups & religions?"

I am so sick of the way Christians in this country are trying to redefine the Constitution to say freedom of religion only applies to Christians...They trying to rewrite our history as well.

Oh well?

9. It's nothing new.
Extremist christianity has been trying to subvert the constitution since the beginning of our country. They won't quit trying until the first amendment has been gutted and they become, in effect, the state religion. Dangerous people.

16. Jews would probably be happy
The more time Muslims spend posting ads on buses, the less time they can spend blowing up Jews in shopping malls, pizza parlors and buses.
