2 arrested at likely NY Clinton wedding site
Source: Associated Press

RHINEBECK, N.Y. (AP) - Two Norwegian journalists face trespassing charges after they were arrested snapping photos of the New York estate where Chelsea Clinton is expected to get married.

Thomas Bjorn Nilsson, 43, of New York, and Kjerste Sortland, 41, of Snorova, Norway, were charged with a violation after they were stopped around 2 p.m. Wednesday on the Astor Estate in this picturesque town along the Hudson River 90 miles north of New York City, according to Maj. Michael A. Kopy of the New York State Police.

Media reports indicate Chelsea Clinton, the daughter of former President Bill Clinton and Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton, will marry investment banker Marc Mezvinsky on Saturday, July 31, at the estate.

Reached in Oslo, Helje Solberg, managing editor for the newspaper Verdens Gang, said police went overboard when Nilsson and Sortland tried to take pictures of the gate. She said they were not on the property.

4. The uber rich fear everyone else for all the wrong reasons.
They worry that we want to wallow in their private lives and take their money. Truth is most of us just want them to stop making decisions about our lives for their benefit and to stop stealing our money so they can be even richer.

6. Look
Bill & Hillary Clinton worked hard to get good educations, and worked hard in public service. Yep, they do have a ton of money now -- good on 'em. Far be it from me to begrudge them an indulgence in the celebration of their only daughter's wedding. Regular, ordinary people indulge in this type of celebration every day, with or without the opulence. My son was married two years ago and it was a beautiful, exciting time.

This is a good thing. At a time like this, the former President, and the current Secretary of State are just proud parents, hoping for all the good things in life for their daughter. Congrats to all!

7. You look.
Their daughter is marrying into the same financial mob they sold out to when they were supposed to be doing the people's business. Just proud parents my ass. Too bad they weren't so concerned when they sold the country out through free trade, bank deregulation, bankruptcy laws, warmongering and other pimping for Wall Street. That's how they made a ton of money. Maybe we should be more sympathetic to their private indulgences. After all, we helped pay for them and so will our descendants. Too bad we weren't invited. That's the story the press should be covering, and they should shouting it from the rooftops.

18. The Clintons have made more money
investing in defense contractors than they ever made writing books.

15. Bill and Hill engaged in warmongering? That's a new one on me
Bill Clinton could have gotten involved in lots of wars had he wanted to. He was too smart for that. A brief excursion into the Balkans was all he was "guilty" of there.

17. I thought the Clintons were a tag team.
So, lets talk Kosovo, Serbia, Somalia, Afghanistan and Iraq, not to mention lots of saber rattling over Iran and North Korea.

11. The security arrangements for this wedding will cost a fortune
I might also mention that it was thoughtful to choose a venue that is not NYC or Washington, DC; the traffic tieups would be awful for everyone else.

16. I thought of the security issue, as well.
I'm sure that's probably half the budget, which is unfortunate, but is reality.
