Obama Lacks Leadership to Create Jobs: Sen. Corker
Source: CNBC

With the final financial regulation vote just hours away, Sen. Bob Corker, (R-Tennessee), told CNBC Thursday that President Obama lacked the leadership skills needed to create jobs and to drive the country out of the recession.

“This administration came into a situation where the economy was down. Instead of focusing on that, they pressed an ideology and continue to press an ideology that basically creates a malaise over jobs,” the senator said.

“But, Number 2, (the administration has created) uncertainty,” he added.

Corker also said he believes very few people in the administration know how to grow the economy.

1. Sen. Corker isn't tall enough to kiss Barack Obama's ass.
Maybe he ought to shut up and worry about those tort reforms and tax cuts for the rich.

7. These Republicans had better watch it. This Depression was
not caused by the Bank Failures all alone. Nor by the
business cycle. We know most of the unemployed at the
present time are the result of Globalization and Trade
Policy. This is why there are such long term jobless predictions.

Cut Taxes Cut Spending may make the Budget Books look
better. However, the Republican Hoover Belt-Tightening will
only cause further contraction and the loss of more jobs.

It is 2016 and the larger crowds -now the Democrats have
joined the throngs. They are all yelling "President Palin
where are all the jobs your party promised."

Sen. Corker, and Republicans your old standbys will not work.
Be careful what you wish for.

10. The GOP's ideas are the failed ideas of the past

Tax cuts don't create jobs, that much has been proved.

14. Neither do Obama's ideas.
Extending unemployment is simply treading water but gives no real hope to a drowning economy.

15. Has any of Obama's ideas been introduced or voted on in Congress?

It's hard to claim, with a straight face, that Obama's ideas are not working when you have a Republican minority filibustering everything.

16. We had 60 votes until Scott Brown.
And we are still getting his vote. I was just listening to some analyst saying that Obama and team were frustrated that they were not getting credit for all their legislative successes which have been numerous. Unfortunately they haven't improved the economy nor the job situation much.

Especially when the "leadership" includes Bernanke, Geithner, Summers, Blankfein, Harry Reid, and all the cast of hundreds....who have been screwing us over for decades now.

12. And George W. Bush Knew How To Grow Jobs?
Over his 8 years only 2 million jobs were added. Today's initial jobless claims were down once again. While it has been slow there is no mistaking the improving economy, including jobs. Corker just threw something up against the wall hoping it would stick. Events are proving him wrong.

13. Meanwhile, on C-SPAN3, President Obama is giving a speech in Holland, Michigan.
Edited on Thu Jul-15-10 01:15 PM by 4lbs
The site of a new car battery plant being constructed that will employ hundreds of local townspeople. Paid for partially with last year's stimulus bill that Corker voted against, and that President Obama wanted.
