White House sends new 99 million dollar bill to BP
Source: afp

AFP - The White House on Tuesday sent a fourth bill, for 99.7 million dollars, to BP for clean-up and recovery operations in the wake of the Deepwater Horizon oil disaster in the Gulf of Mexico.

BP and other "responsible parties" in America's worst environmental disaster, have already paid three previous bills, worth 122 million dollars in full, officials said.

4. Anyone stateside reporting this?
Or are they all too preoccupied with their sudden interest in the work habits of the man in the Oval Office? For eight years, George W. Bush pursued a vacation schedule that can only be characterized as "relentless" while the popular media refused to notice that he was out of the office nearly as much as he was in. Now, however, if Barack Obama takes a five minute bathroom break instead of the officially designated three minutes, the popular media want to by god know what he was doing in there!

5. Most of us don't give a damn if he goes golfing or bowling or whatever.
Not even the people on the Gulf care if he goes golfing. It's not as if anyone can work on anything 24/7.

Bush would've been far less of a disaster if he'd been even more relentless about vacationing. The less he was around to screw up the better. He might've managed to be mediocre if he'd never showed up for work at all.

6. Did anyone else think it was odd that the Treasury would issue
a new 99 million dollar bill? Or is it just my weird brain?
