kare 11 - APST. PAUL, Minn. (AP) -- Supporters of a Toyota driver imprisoned for a fatal crash plan to demonstrate outside the Ramsey County attorney's office Monday.
The St. Paul Pioneer Press reports that Trudy Balthazar has spent two weeks drumming up support for the 3 p.m. demonstration for freedom for Koua Fong Lee.
The newspaper says she's one of thousands of people across the country speaking out for Lee, a 32-year-old St. Paul man serving an eight-year sentence for the 2006 crash, which killed three people.
More than 5,500 people have signed up for a "Free Koua Fong Lee" page on Facebook, created by a Los Angeles man.
