Burger giant plans clothing range
US fast food giant McDonald's is to launch a range of children's clothing in North America and western Europe.

The McKids range will be designed, made and distributed by Chinese firm Shanghai Longhurst.

<snip>

In a statement McDonald's said the clothing is intended to offer quality fabrics in styles that will endure "season after season".

Larry Light, McDonald's global chief marketing officer, said the move exemplified "a new thinking".

7. The ORIGINAL "McDee's", McJob, McNews, McMarriage, and now...
Edited on Thu Mar-25-04 04:24 PM by BiggJawn
McKid's clothes...
"Last season after season"? Why? Even without the little darlings getting stuffed on McFood, they will grow out of the stuff in about 6 months...

Oh, childhood memories of getting new clothes that didn't fit, and having to wear them till they didn't fit AGAIN!

Oh, I forgot "McGovernment", which is crappy government exemplified by a bunch of felons all pointing fingers....

17. Its soon to be McLiposuction, for the huge McThighs
On tomorrow's McChildren. Soon they will have McDouble Chins to go along with their McShirt's and McVests.

This will be a marketing disaster. Every cool kid will make fun of this clothing line at school.

What Mc---****needs is a few McCrack Dealers to model a new line of McDrug rags for today's McUrban McPosse.

10. What on earth is their brand manager thinking?
What does McDonald's have to do with clothing? Why enter an overcrowded field like kids' clothes? Why give comedians endless fodder for mocking your brand?

11. Isn't It Obvious?
They have to do SOMETHING will the millions and millions of outdated polyester uniforms they've collected over the past few decades! Heck, they won't even have to resize them!
