(RE/MAX) Real estate tycoon Liniger pondering Senate run|Denver Post

Denver Post Staff Writer

Real estate mogul and balloonist David Liniger, a Republican, is considering a run for U.S. Senate.

“He’s talking to his family and Republican leaders in and out of state before he makes a final decision,” GOP party chair Ted Halaby said today.

Liniger, who co-founded RE/MAX International, would take on former U.S. Rep. Bob Schaffer and Dan L. O'Bryant in a primary.

"A primary would be very positive for the party," Halaby said.
