Jewish dance group stoned in Hanover, Germany

German police are investigating the stoning of a Jewish dance group trying to perform on the street in the city of Hanover.

Youths reportedly shouted "Juden Raus" (Jews Out) as they attacked the dancers of the Chaverim ("Friends" in Hebrew) dance troupe last weekend.

Police said several Muslim immigrant youths were among the attackers and two youths were being questioned.

Charlotte Knobloch, president of the Central Council of Jews in Germany, told the Die Welt newspaper that anti-Semitic feelings were widespread in both far-right and Muslim communities in the country.

Police were interrogating two immigrant teenagers, 15 and 19, in the incident. It was not yet clear whether the attack had been organized in advance.
Hannover police spokesman Thorsten Schiewe said the teenagers used a megaphone to shout anti-Semitic slurs before hurling stones at the troupe, in an attack which wounded one of the dancers.
The dance group canceled their performance after the incident.

Also, I didn't object to the ignorance of your labeling, I objected to the mean-spirited characterization of Islam, a *religion* that I doubt you have any more understanding of than you do philology.

Being an ex Muslim and one who understands full well many of the inherent traits of the said spiritual expression, I need nothing more "lithic" than my experience to hurl toward Islam and it's hatred of Jews. BTW....where is an Islamic culture that a modern, progressive liberal would feel welcome?

Notice they didn't say any White people or natural born Germans were being questioned. Although there were only "several" not "many" not the majority were muslim, they picked up 2 muslim immigrants. Are they the only two who didn't run? Doubtful. Easier to pick them up and make an example of them since it likely no one will care and they will be able to abuse them and act as if they are trying to enforce the law.

Most of the Muslims there are "white" as well, not to mention the Jews as well. So it's all pretty much "white" people. But it sounds like religion or ethnicity might have played into this.
