BP to donate oil leak revenue to NFWF (National Fish and Wildlife Foundation)
Source: USA Today

BP announced Tuesday it will donate the net revenue from selling oil recovered from the Gulf of Mexico spill to the National Fish and Wildlife Foundation.

BP said in a statement that the energy giant will give $5 million to the NFWF to start the fund.

BP captured about 654,000 usable gallons of oil Monday using a containment cap sitting over the Gulf gushing well. That oil will eventually be brought to shore, refined and sold, the Associated Press reports.

5. Overlooked the fact
they have to pay royalties to the US government ?

Perhaps your government will donate the royalties too and then it will be closer to gross.

3. How can BP morally accept a penny in profit after causing perhaps a trillion $ in damage? If I were
president I would find an attorney general who would prosecute BP until every penny of damages was repaid and appoint justices to SCOTUS who would decide along those lines.
