Richmond Times-DispatchVirginia Attorney General Ken Cuccinelli took to the Internet on Wednesday night in a one-hour online webcast to explain the lawsuit he’s filed on behalf of Virginia challenging federal health-care reform.
Cuccinelli, striking the pose of a college lecturer by using PowerPoint and a podium, said Virginia’s legal action was consistent with principles held by the Founding Fathers.
“This is the state doing exactly what they thought we should do—standing in the breach and guarding the overreaches of federal government,“ he said before a live audience and about 2,000 online viewers.

Cuccinelli said legislation ushering in federal health-care reform represents “the greatest erosion of liberty in my lifetime” by the federal government and said the lawsuit is “the only thing between us and the end of federalism.“
