Obama previously named Bob Graham, a former Florida governor and senator, and William K. Reilly, a former Environmental Protection Agency administrator.

The final five members are:

_Frances Beinecke, president of the Natural Resources Defense Council.

_Donald Boesch, president of the University of Maryland's Center for Environmental Science.

_Terry Garcia, a National Geographic Society executive.

_Cherry Murray, dean of Harvard's engineering school.

_Frances Ulmer, chancellor of the University of Alaska Anchorage.

1. It would have been nice to see a public health/toxicologist expert
but I guess he at least got some spectrum of disciplines...

2. How about taking action instead having a discussion?
This panel is a waste of time. Besides, the laws are in place to take action on situations like this. SO DO SOMETHING!!!

4. 60 days and the commission is named. Imagine how much progress we'll have by 120!
Meanwhile, BP is concealing evidence, adding extra poison to the mix, and spending more on media, and covering up, than removing oil from the water. Is the Admiral awaiting overwhelming force to launch the attack, or is the attack really just against information leakage as we see now?

6. At least there are some credible people appointed
I guess we are making some progress compared to what a Bush-nominated commission would have looked like. Hey, nobody from Halliburton, Chevron or Anadarko!
