George W. Bush Joins Facebook, Twitter
Source: WSJ

Former President George W. Bush has kept a low profile since leaving office, but this week he’s stepping out by joining the social media world.

The former president appears to have launched a Twitter account, although it appears to be either being ghost-written, or Bush likes to talk about himself in the third person. (Sample Tweet: “Since leaving office, President Bush has remained active. He has visited 20 states and 8 countries.”)

So far, he’s received nearly 7,000 followers while Bush is following five people: his wife, Laura, the Republican Party, President Barack Obama, Arizona Republican Sen. John McCain, and former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin.

Perhaps taking a cue from Palin’s musings, he also started a Facebook page Wednesday, which has already attracted over 65,000 Friends.

2. Why bother to join Twitter -- he's always been a twit?
And what he should actually join is Loss-of-Facebook.

;-)
