1. I'm sure all MILLION and ONE-HALF people on this no-fly list are really scary people.
Talk about Police State tactics of fear?

Many people, including children, have been erroneously placed on this half-baked list.

2. Huh--maybe they're getting quicker at catching the no-fliers, since last winter.

4. I got pulled from a flight back in 2004, in STL,,,
Airline was suppose the check my luggage, somthing like a certain number of bags from curbside get checked automatically. Well they did not. Minutes from pulling away from concourse, they pulled me.
All kinds of thoughts were going threw my head, a fire at home, something happened to one of my family. WOuld not tell me until the plane had left terminal. My business travel partner was left stranded at our destination, becuase rental was in my name. She got to our hotel around 11pm, from a 4pm flight. I got there at 230am, from a 1130pm flight.
I also got 50k of flight miles, and a whoe bunch more when the letter I wrote hit the CEO's desk.

7. This is that "terror" they talk about.
We're afraid, which is a reasonable response to having things that we expect to be safe and predictable and within the definition we have created of "America" suddenly become potentially deadly in ways we couldn't, and can't, predict. To varying degrees we imagine ourselves in danger from anything and everything. To varying degrees we all have PTSD symptoms.

It's terrible and tragic that people should want to do this to one another, no matter who's doing it to whom. It's equally tragic that, rather than become opportunistic feeders off of one another in the face of that fear, we can't bond together to take care of one another and be the best at preventing this from happening as humanly possible.
