Ex-President Bush to sky dive for birthday
http://www.chron.com/cs/CDA/ssistory.mpl/metropolitan/2457475

Former President George Bush hasn't had enough air time yet.

For his 80th birthday, he plans his third sky diving feat since 1997 -- and fourth jump ever.

The ex-president also plans a party in College Station on June 12-13 so friends and admirers can watch the next leap. Tickets will be sold, with prices beginning at $100 and the proceeds going to charity.

1. barf
why doesn't he do something useful with his time? Like President Carter with Habitat, for instance, or President Clinton, getting meds for HIV/AIDS in Africa. What's with these Repuke ex-Presidents? All they ever seem to do is want cameras pointed at them while they wave.

and one of his crew died. I could be wrong though.

Although I admire guys with jump wings, (which I don't have), I am still bothered by the concept of leaving a perfectly good airplane while it is still flight worthy.

21. Not quite....
The water landing was in his first plane. The alleged abandonment of his crew occurred in his second plane, on a later mission.

Cheers.

20. sometimes after a few years watching your son botch his "chosen" shot
at the presedency after losing by half a million popular votes, life just only seems worth living if you can risk your neck one more time.

maybe GW will get shot out of a cannon as he ages and begins losing his mind. contiunues, rather.

34. EMPTY gesture--phony as Jr's
showboating hamming farces. He doesnot skydive__ the jump-master does__he's merely strapped in a Tandem Jump. Real skydivers --even first jump students can righteously _s m i r k_
ridicule and mock loudly at his and medias bull-horse-chicken shit.
He's not even controlling the parachute. AF accelerated freefall training would be impressive, after some real training jumping solo with a jump-master circling overseeing the opening(throwing out the pilot chute which opens the main).

Familiar with actual skydiving..made five student jumps all at least solo
under a parachute, opening as paratrooper jumps..automatically.
Know many REAL skydivers... "sky diving" is the freefall. Strapped to a master jumper is just a ride. What ~~sarcasm~~courage.
