A missing girl missing since 1986 was thought ot have been found but the person that called family and claimed to be missing daughter was a fraud. She will be charged with a felony.

Sorry if this sounds like something on your local station but there must not be anything happening in the world if all the "big" networks are on this story? All of them at the news conference about this false claim of identity? Excuse me, but isn't this exaggerating this story just a wee, wee bit??

THORNTOWN, Ind. -- A young woman who called the parents of a missing girl and claimed she may be their long-lost daughter was charged Wednesday with committing a cruel hoax.

Shannon Marie Sherrill vanished Oct. 5, 1986, as she played hide-and-seek with neighbor children outside her mother's mobile home in Thorntown, about 30 miles northwest of Indianapolis.

The caller was Donna L. Walker, 35, of Topeka, Kan., but an investigation has determined she was not Sherrill, state police 1st Sgt. Dave Bursten. Her whereabouts were not known on Wednesday, he said.
