The 3-0 ruling said the boy must be returned by Friday.

Lawyers have said that whoever lost Wednesday's ruling is likely to make a final appeal to a court in Brasilia.

5. One has to wonder about the hidden agenda that the step dad had
fighting to keep the child. And the divorce was not even an American one. She just used the Brazil court to "divorce" her husband.

so he is pulling the strings. Somehow I doubt this would be happening 40 years ago.

10. Question ... where's the RW outrage saying that the son should stay in
Brazil? I mean, isn't that essentially the same situation Elian Gonzales had? That the biological mother ran off to another country with a kid, and died ... and "relatives" that the kid didn't know were holding him hostage over the biological father's wishes?

Are the RWers fighting international law on this one, too?

BTW, I'm glad the father is legally reuniting with his son.
