Huckabee says he probably will not run in 2012
Source: Des Moines Conservative Examiner

2008 Iowa Caucus winner and current GOP poll leader Mike Huckabee says it is "less than likely" he will run for President in 2012. Huckabee was a guest on "Fox News Sunday" with Chris Wallace when he made the remarks.

Huckabee is wildly popular with social conservatives in Iowa. He is viewed favorably by 70 percent of Iowa Republicans, according to a Des Moines Register poll released last weekend. Only Sarah Palin comes close to Huckabee's popularity in the Hawkeye State. The former Arkansas governor is also the leader in a nationwide Gallup poll.

Huckabee cited his self-titled Fox News Channel program as his main cause for not running. "The reason I wouldn't is because this Fox gig that I've got right now is really, really wonderful," Huckabee said. "A lot of it depends on how the elections turn out next year and whether Roger Ailes continues to like my show on the weekends and if all those things factor in, it's less likely than more likely."

And could it also be because after that incident up in Washington State earlier today? Hmmmm.....

1. Interesting...
I wonder if he got word of who the shooter was before the rest of us?

I mean, Huckabee has NO chance at all now anyway and as soon as he heard the killer was someone he let out of prison he had to know that.

2. Well. If he knew about the suspected shooter it would certainly
make sense for him to try and get out in front of it and suddenly "really really like his FOX gig and spend more time with his family"

6. He must have known something. He's the most toxic potential candidate in history.
Sarah Palin and Mitt Romney are dancing tonight.

Mike Huckabee. Good riddance.

How will Fox continue with his TV show?

7. Although the circumstances are a tragedy
I do like that it's very likely that another conservative politician's career has been derailed. I'm sure he'll keep his FOX gig, but he knows that if he ever ran again, his fellow republicans would bring him down during the primaries. Huckabee is just as dangerous as any other religious nutcase and is more dangerous in certain regards in that he puts a friendly, smiling face on religious douchebaggery.

20. More likely he will be fired from Faux News
I don't think the mostly conservative audience on Fox will take
this news kindly....about the person he paroled several years before his
scheduled release killed 4 cops in execution style.

24. Conservatives don't care about GOP scandals.
Haven't we learned anything in the last eight years?

GWB could have raped a troop of cub scouts on the white house lawn singing the Internationale and downing pint glasses of vodka and 25% of the country would still think he was the greatest president in history.

Oliver North and G. Gordon Liddy have frickin talk shows for cripes sake.

If anything, they'll turn him into a martyr.

31. Ha! They won't give a damn.
In fact, they'll probably hail him as some kind of hero of judicial restraint. It's kind of like unwed mother Bristol being a spokesperson for abstinence, which apparently makes perfect sense to a republican.

level. I figured deputy pope Mike "The Huckster" Huckabee was still the top turd on the War Party's turd'em pole. MYYYYYYYYYyyyyy how the bigger they are, the harder they bust their no good greed driven asses, at the end of the day. Who knows what sorts of skeletons might pop out of their CONservative closets and bite them on their no good greed driven asses, next? I guess narrow mindedness leads the GOPer faithful to the tune of not having the vision to see right through those scandalous hucksters like Mike "The Huckster" Huckabee.

It's hard to tell where Gawd might tell a kkkat like Mike to direct our preemptive military might next. Could even be that next time we have a GOPer based dictator like W, Gawd/Halliburton will direct the pResident to invade main street. WE Can't ever afford another mistake the magnitude of a George W Bush administration and expect to remain a country in one piece. Picture Mike or Sarah with their fickle fingers on the nuclear douchenozzle of eternal gloom and doom and maybe you and me will start to believe in a "Hell" too.

FOX is like a cancer on democracy's ass and it bites a little harder and deeper every day. There are a lot of idiots in the USA who believe Anything they see on the "NEWS"...I hope for our country's sake there are still enough enlightened individuals who look a little farther for the truth than FOX "NEWS" or the WSJ...

Edit to add...GOP = High compression, low compassion douchebaggery x 10!11!111!!!111!111! = MegaDouche not just a garden variety conspiracy theory anymore..."And on the Fifth horse, the dark red horse, there rode a greasy palmed pResident with an atomic douchenozzle of doom and they called it Arkansas Barbie."

10. Where will they ever come up with a line-up like last time???
God, it would really be hilarious if it wasn't taken serious by so many nut balls in this nation of morons. I'm sure freddie thompson will be there...all fired up after a long nap, ready to take on the left wing. Then there's the mormon guy....romney and his four bruising lads, all too bruising to join the military of course. Don't forget tommy tancredo. Holy shit...his pants are on fire. This is the walking deferment that was just a wee bit too depressed to join me and the boys in the Vietnam War. Then let's see....ron paul....the most reasonable of all the kooks. And of course, there'll be the lipstick-pig and her fan club of no-brainers.

Jesus....it's simply mind boggling that whoever they can muster out from under a rock will get a guaranteed 45% of this nation's vote. NATION OF F*CKING MORONS!!

This country is getting to be one F'en scary place at voting time. You're always going to get some morons running and some morons voting, but you're so correct... about 45% will vote for the worst candidate the R's can scrape up.

36. I used to be a Parole Officer.
I worked with felons released from prison who served the remainder of their sentence under parole supervision rather than locked up.

Some of my guys did commit more crimes while on parole. One guy molested a child while under my supervision. I was able to get him prosecuted and locked back up on a 10 year sentence. Needless to say, I carried a lot of stress over what one of my parolees might be doing at any given time. After 5 years, and one incident involving a gun, I was so fried that I resigned.

I can't imagine granting clemency in the manner that Huckabee did. The alleged shooter was serving a 200 yr sentence and Hucks wiped it away? C'mon man. If this whole Religious/Salvation/Pardoning story is true, then Hucks ought to do the proper thing; hold a news conference and tell the world that he'll spend the rest of his life serving the families of those slaughtered police officers.
