Just how safe is Bush making people feel?

Poll from the front page of CNN.

Is the U.S. prepared to stop the kind of terror attack that happened in Spain?

Yes 17% 24352 votes

No 83% 116071 votes

Total: 140423 votes

Keep pushing the terrorterrorterror-only I can make you safe George because no one is buying that one either.

Two questions should be asked:

Who felt safe in 1999?

Raise your hands.

Who feels safe today?

Raise your hands.

Seems pretty obvious to "Just Me". Will others get it?

HMPF & HAW!!!!

2. The sad conclusion is that we will NEVER feel totally safe
again -- no matter how hard we try to prevent the next one, there are so many different avenues and types of attack, it is impossible to anticipate them all. The last couple of years since 911 has been quiet, almost too quiet...

4. True, but you've got to admit Shrub hasn't done much of anything to
really protect us from a terrorist attack. Outside of negating the constitution with that Patriot Act POS and blocking a few incoming flights from France. Our ports are wide open, trains (at least around Chicago where I travel) have NO protection.

Instead he feeds the growth of terrorist with his unilateral empirical moves. I think the neocons love the idea of terrorism, that's why they have declared a war against it that you can never win. They had to have something to take the place of those evil communists of the cold war era.
