Turkey considers fate of detained Iran Raelian leader
Source: bbc

The Turkish authorities say they are discussing what to do with an Iranian atheist who says she fled persecution in Iran.

Negar Azizmoradi, who is the leader of the Raelian movement in Iran, was arrested after she arrived in Turkey last week.

Supporters say she faces the death penalty for her beliefs if she returns.

Turkey gives only limited recognition to refugees, and has in the past sent back Iranian asylum-seekers.

9. Turkey is a nonsecular state and gets mucho $$$ from the U.S. because of it.
The U.S. state department needs to remind them of this fact. If Turkey wants to become a theocracy like Iran, then they can give up their U.S. aid.

12. Tired of This
Turkey doesn't get American aid for free like Israel. We repay (with interest) most of the aid we get.
See the balances for Turkey and Israel in these statistics from U.S. government page:
http://www.census.gov/compendia/statab/tables/09s1257.pdf

Every year we repay more than what we get.
Actually your attitude is the reason why anti-American sentiment is rising in Turkey. Turkey won't be a theocracy, but it will be anti-American.
