Former Palin aide irked by portrayal in book

ANCHORAGE, Alaska — The first legislative director for former Gov. Sarah Palin, John Bitney, is unhappy with the way he’s portrayed in her book, "Going Rogue."

"I’m just pilloried right and left and turned into the big bad wolf here for stuff I didn’t do," said Bitney, who is now an aide to Valdez Republican Rep. John Harris. "It’s like I’m this fictional character that she’s decided to make me out to be this sort of incompetent slob."

He told The Anchorage Daily News he’s unfairly blamed for Palin’s poor relationship with lawmakers.

Bitney said in an interview that he joked with Palin in her office about how there needs to be an adult in the room when it comes to the state budget, but he said he never advised her to say it to anyone.

Bitney said he has tried to be fair to Palin in media interviews over the past year but "Going Rogue" is too much.

"I’ve had it. Enough. Just enough; leave me alone," he said.

18. The Vanity Fair Article said it all

Although I don't think it went far enough in their assessment of her mental health. It implied narcissistic personality disorder - I think she's sociopathic. She tries to leverage everyone she comes into contact with for her personal gain. She pretends to be friendly with them, uses them, and dispenses with them once they're no longer of any value.

I honestly think that she hates everybody. And an honest conversation with her would be like the scene where Daniel Plainview is talking to his brother.

Her shallowness, lust for attention, and other traits suggest histrionic personality disorder, but her very Bush-like inability to admit her own mistakes also suggests narcissistic personality disorder. The two are somewhat similar and fall into the same cluster of personality disorders. Can she be both at the same time?

blamed and fired everyone and eventually she was the only one left. I was the first exit interview and told the directors you have a psychopath running your HR department. They finally figured it out 5 years later and told this person to clean out their desk and never contact them again. Meanwhile, 12 people were thrown out of work.
