Eurozone economic activity 'hits a two-year high'
Source: BBC

Eurozone economic activity rose at its fastest pace in November for two years, according to an influential survey.

The growth was driven by manufacturing output, which scored 54.6, its fastest growth since September 2007.

Figures released earlier this month showed that the eurozone emerged from recession between July and September.

"It's an expansion that is consistent with which is slow and steady and will probably continue to expand for some months to come, but I don't think we should be expecting a massive pick-up in activity from here."

Sounds like the European economy is picking up faster than the US, including their manufacturing sector.

8. EXACTLY!
Unlike here.

"There are forces within the Democratic Party who want us to sound like kinder, gentler Republicans. I want us to compete for that great mass of voters that want a party that will stand up for working Americans, family farmers, and people who haven't felt the benefits of the economic upturn."---Paul Wellstone

11. One of the big differences between here and there is...
they send VERY few jobs over to slave labor countries.

12. Not sure how you determined that. They import more from China than the US does.
The EU has free trade agreements with more countries than we do (just ratified one with South Kora and are negotiating with India and Canada).

Europe's big advantage is how progressively they treat their own citizens so that they can be open to the rest of the world. With effective national health care, progressive taxation, real market regulation, strong social safety nets and strong unions, Europeans don't have to worry as much about each imported product and immigrant as Americans do.

13. I saw an article comparing US v. EU in outsourcing.
I'll dig it up if I can find it, but it basically said we outsource 5 jobs for their 1.

Like we were 60 years ago, China is the world's manufacturer, just about every nation trades with them.

I wonder who will be the next manufacturer of the world when those greedy Chinese workers begin to demand a living wage? Somalia, Zimbabwe, Sierra Leone?
