Majority Of Republicans Think Obama Didn't Actually Win 2008 Election -- ACORN Stole It!
Eric Kleefeld | November 19, 2009, 12:28PM

The new national poll from Public Policy Polling (D) has an astonishing number about paranoia among the GOP base: Republicans do not think President Obama actually won the 2008 election -- instead, ACORN stole it.

This number goes a long way towards explaining the anger of the Tea Party crowd. They not only think Obama's agenda is against America, but they don't think he was actually the choice of the American people at all! Interestingly, NY-23 Conservative candidate Doug Hoffman is now accusing ACORN of stealing his race, and Fox News personalities have often speculated about ACORN stealing the 2008 Minnesota Senate race for Al Franken.

The poll asked this question: "Do you think that Barack Obama legitimately won the Presidential election last year, or do you think that ACORN stole it for him?" The overall top-line is legitimately won 62%, ACORN stole it 26%.

Among Republicans, however, only 27% say Obama actually won the race, with 52% -- an outright majority -- saying that ACORN stole it, and 21% are undecided. Among McCain voters, the breakdown is 31%-49%-20%. By comparison, independents weigh in at 72%-18%-10%, and Democrats are 86%-9%-4%.

66. Yep. More classic projection. There's no possible way for ACORN to steal ONE
vote. They have never falsely registered anyone to vote; in fact, the charges of bogus voter registrations were filed by ACORN when they found out that a handful of people filled out joke voter registrations cards during their drives (not ACORN members but people off the street). However, Repugs KNOW that Diebold could steal millions of votes for them, and I'm sure that deep down they know that 2000 and 2004 were both stolen, thus the absurd projection.

6. Projection the greatest thing republicons can come up with for everything
when they lose. Never mind that the republicons with their ties to Diebold more then likely stole 2 elections before the people started watching closely to see if their were going to be hanky panky in the last election. I still think the Diebold people would have flipped votes if the race had been close, but with McGramps and the former spread your legs for america moose lady they couldn't get away with flipping votes like they did in Florida and Ohio. BTW, has anyone heard anything more about the Ohio district that had 680 voters and over 4,000 votes for * were counted, outside of the machine was tired out from all the voting that went on it?

22. Damn your coherence. You're scaring everyone.
Yes, I'm still enraged about 2000, not to mention 2004. For the Party of Stealing Elections to whine about legitimate voter registration organizations just pokes a hot stick in those wounds, and stirs them all up again.

If there's a Hot Place, they're all going there.

9. I would be very curious to learn just how ACORN stole the election.
Did ACORN own the voting machine companies? Is there any evidence of ballot stuffing? Did all the ACORN members register in multiple precincts so they could vote many times? Did ACORN control the vote count, so they could throw away Republican votes?

What mechanism did they use? I'd LOVE to know.

And if you (Hoffman, et al) can't tell HOW they did it, shut the fuck up.

That includes office works, tech people etc. That's 14 people per state and they have plenty of other work besides registering voters. Even if these registrations weren't completely vetted before a person received a VRC and could vote, it's moronic. So what else is new and who cares what they think.

19. Title correction: Majority of Republicans *polled* think Obama didn't win...
Although the polling company claims this was a national poll, I can't find any indication of how large a sample was polled. If it's 100 people, 25 from Florida, 25 from New Hampshire, 25 from Utah, and 25 from Arizona, they could truthfully claim it was a national poll, but the results would still be grossly skewed even if they didn't offer up a totally leading question.

Here is the polling company's press release with results: http://www.publicpolicypolling.com/pdf/PPP_Release_National_1119.pdf

ACORN is Obama's secret army, akin to Mussolini's blackshirts and Hitler's brownshirts! Every piece of legislation that helps the people are all building blocks to his Socialist Communist Fascist Nazi regime! We shall rue the day when Herr Chairman, Dear Leader and our Celestial Father, Ba***k O***a (we are unworthy to even see his name, let alone type it!!) marches down the street with the People's Heavenly Army of ACORN, clothed in beautiful Soviet uniform of a once great Soviet regime, armed with Mosin-Nagant rifles as they take back what belongs to The People!

What's more pathetic is that it's apparently easier to convince Republicans of this kind of bullshit than to get the majority of Democrats to even pay attention to the theft that *did* take place in 2000. I don't remember seeing *any* polls where that high of a percentage of Democrats acknowledged *'s illegitimacy.
