(AG) Holder tells senators 'We need not cower in the face of this enemy'
Source: The Hill

Holder vowed that the U.S. would not surrender to fear or politics in seeking justice against the alleged Sept. 11 plotters in federal court.

“We need not cower in the face of this enemy,” Holder told the Senate Judiciary Committee at a packed hearing. “Our institutions are strong, our infrastructure is sturdy, our resolve is firm, and our people are ready.”

...

In several tense exchanges, Holder insisted he supports military and intelligence officers working to prevent another terrorist attack and to win the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan.

“I know that we are at war,” Holder said in his opening statement and repeated in subsequent remarks. “I know that we are at war with a vicious enemy who targets our soldiers on the battlefield in Afghanistan and our civilians on the streets here at home.

“I have personally witnessed that somber fact in the faces of the families who have lost loved ones abroad, and I have seen it in the daily intelligence stream I review each day. Those who suggest otherwise are simply wrong.”

2. But...but...recent news reports Al-Quada has fled Afghanistan
and moved to Pakistan. Which is why the gov says we are now having to go to Pakistan.

So why are we still fighting "the enemy" in Afghanistan?
And how come there is no news of "the enemy" in Iraq anymore?
And we won the war in Iraq...Bush said so.

5. I read the article and to Sen. Graham I say the following
No Sen.Graham, we made bad history when we turned out backs upon what this country was founded on, that all people are created equal.
And when you (the government) thought torture was the best answer and when you thought people could be held in a prison for years like in the former USSR is when is where we also made bad history.
So to you Sen. Graham I say lets move on, try these people inside a court of law and stop using them as political football to try and win points to get yourself re-elected.
