Palin to visit Fort Hood during book tour
Source: CNN

WASHINGTON (CNN) – Sarah Palin will travel to the Fort Hood Army post in early December as part of her national book tour, Palin's publisher confirmed to CNN Friday.

The December 4 visit will come roughly one month after a mass shooting on the base that left 13 people dead and 38 wounded.

The stop, which had not been previously announced, is scheduled for the same day Palin signs books at a store in in the Dallas area.

The former Alaska governor is also making an appearance at Fort Bragg in North Carolina during her tour.

The visit was first reported by the Wall Street Journal.

1. What a disgusting opportunistic pig she is. She has no standing
and staging a visit to sell books and promote herself by a tragedy is despicable.

14. You're right. A lot of people would pay to see that, LOL.
Me, I find any one of them way too scary to take, and that's just on "the TV machine..." :scared: :hi:

3. In what context does an out-of-work pol get an official (I'm presuming) . . .

Visit to a US military facility? Or is it because she's a famous entertainer? Is she going to sing and dance and do impressions? (No, that's Tina Fey.)

I really object to them spending my taxes hosting this lying bimbo (no insult intended to truthful bimbos).

of Glenn Beck's former appendix

Edit to add
Seriously, is it common for an author to visit a military base to push a book?
Base personnel could, of course, visit the local Barnes and Noble, Borders or Billy Bob's Bookstore and Auto Repair, but to actually have the author on the base?
Maybe I'm just not up to date (don't answer that, I already know I'm drifting into oldfoggyhood)

12. Whoa!
She isn't anybody important enough to have my tax money being spent on her visit to the base. A private citizen disrupting a military base.. is that normal?

If I write a book, do I get automatic entrance to military bases to present my book?

17. Eewww, what a place for a book signing. Is she going to stop by all places where mass murderers hit
and turn it into a book promotion event or just the ones with fresh blood on the walls?
