3 U.S. military personnel killed in Iraq

BAGHDAD, Nov. 9 (Xinhua) -- Three American service members, including two pilots, were killed in two incidents in Iraq on Sunday, the U.S. military said Monday.

A U.S. marine attached to Multi National Force-West died of injuries sustained of a non-combat incident in Iraq's western province of Anbar, a military statement said without providing further details.

Earlier, another military statement said two U.S. pilots have been killed in a helicopter crash Sunday in Salahudin province north of Baghdad.

The two were killed during a hard landing in the province, the statement said without giving more details.

5. "died of injuries sustained of a non-combat incident"

Add this to the "hard landing."

Read some time ago that "non-combat incidents" usually were caused by Humvees going like a bat out of hell to avoid IEDs planted along the roads, then veering out of control and rolling over.

Just a routine traffic accident to the military :sarcasm:
