Kerik Pleads Guilty: Bernie Becomes First NYPD Commissioner In History To Admit He's A Felon
Source: NY Daily News

Bernard Kerik pleaded guilty Thursday to lying to the White House, becoming the first NYPD Commissioner in city history to admit he's a felon.

Kerik stood with head bowed in White Plains federal court, working his way through admitting to eight charges that will also include theft of honest services and tax evasion.

With his corruption trial set to begin next week, Kerik worked out a last-minute plea deal in which prosecutors dropped the most serious charges - mail and wire fraud - and agreed to recommend prison time of 27 to 33 months.

3. I think he ought be put in general population (which he won't) in a cell..........
..............with Leon and Pedro who he helped convict. He probably won't even go to a "prison" unfortunately. I think he's what we call in the US a "white collar criminal", heavy emphasis on WHITE(and wealthy).

4. Couldn't happen to a more deserving guy.
Pity prosecutors agreed to the plea deal...unless, of course, it means that Kerik is going to turn over something juicy on Rudy. ;)

5. He would have been Secretary of Homeland Security
if it were not for the NY press who were more than familiar with Giuliani's and his political tactics while the rest of the country was cheering them on, calling them heroes, thanks to the useless media. Neither was ever a hero on 9/11 or at tany other time.

They both profited, and Giuliani continues to do so, disgustingly from that tragedy. Giuliani, who not only failed to take terrorism in NYC seriously, but fought against the Fire Dept's demands to replace faulty equipment sold to NYC before 9/11 and then, went on to start his own 'security' company.

Bernie and his Fox News lover used the NYC police Dept. to keep people away from the apartment set up for First Responders to rest in, as they used it for their love nest. All the while Fox was covered in flags and yellow ribbons and 'Patriotic' programming and interviews with people like Bernie.

If he hadn't been caught, and if both of them had not made so many enemies before 9/11, he might have run for president considering all the fake hero-worship that was going on at the time.

Despicable people. But I'm sure there will be a job waiting for him at Fox as soon as he gets out.

13. I hope so ~ but as someone else said,
Giuliani will probably pretend he doesn't know who he is right now.

Kerik was stupid that's why he got caught, Giuliani is way too smart to get caught.

It's fun to go back to 2004 media coverage of the election and see how often Kerik was a guest on the MSM, mostly going after Kerry on 'terror'. Not one of them bothered to check on who this guy was and it would not have been hard.

He got off easy, imo. There was so much negative information available about him even before 9/11 that it really shows how little we should trust anyone we see on the MSM.

He was hailed as a the country's Top Cop, a hero etc. Yet no one checked to see what credentials he had for that job, other than being a Giuliani sycophant. A former prison official and then a driver for Giuliani, and then Chief of the NYC Police Dept.

They thought of Giuliani is so terrifying that if it was a choice between him and Bush, I would vote for Bush.

14. If Giuliani had been the nominee in 2004 he probably could had won.
But loose lips do sink ships.

and

It requires a lot of effort to not make mistakes.

The most appropriate statement would be that the media is stupid and lazy.

7. Since I've got more experience on my resume than being a 'driver' ...
... does that mean I can run a really high-profile National Security Org too?

How in Goddess' name did anyone think this jackass was qualified? :wtf:
