Rep. Michele Bachmann to protesters: 'Scare' Congress
Source: Politico

In a conference call Wednesday night with bloggers and activists for the advocacy group Americans for Prosperity, Rep. Michele Bachmann (R-MN) called on protesters to “scare” members of Congress into killing the proposed health care reform bill.

If the protesters succeed in scaring lawmakers, Bachmann said that it could cripple efforts to restructure health care for a decade.

“Nothing scares members of Congress more than freedom-loving Americans,” Bachmann said.

She said that members were frightened by the August town hall meetings, but “then they came back to Washington, and they got back in the bubble and Speaker Pelosi put the hammer down on the Democrats.”. . .

She's nuts. Simply nuts. Inspiring Ann Coulter to one-up her, and even tired ol' (boring and predictable) Ann can't achieve that.

2. Yeah, I'm sure that elected officials will be terrified of the Rascal Brigade.
I suppose they could hit some of them over the head with their hilariously misspelled signs.

7. What a worthless, piece of shit, sorry excuse for a human being this woman is.
Ape shit crazy. She should be under constant medical supervision in a mental health facility, not making decisions that affect our lives.

28. She really isn't crazy. She prostitutes herself for the political
far right big business/big buck religioso capitalists. Quite lucrative, you know. The people who are crazy are the ones who vote for political prostitutes which there are far too many.

12. Yes, wear masks
and dress in Halloween costumes. That should work.

Maybe come to a session of the house or Senate naked - just to show them how free you really can be. That should scare them. Nekkid teabaggers.

Gives me nightmares.

13. Moderate Republicans should turn the tables, and
start running a few 3rd party candidates of their own. What better place to start than with this nitwit. As was the case in NY-23, comparitively few moderates that choose not to vote for a wingnut can translate to a victory margin for the Democratic candidate. So what are they waiting for?

15. Congress needs to get a very good bill passed right away.
The inability of Congress to get a good bill that will lower people's insurance costs through quickly is fueling all these protests. We fear what we don't understand and don't know. Once a good bill has been enacted and signed, people will be able to read it and a lot of the fear and anger will dissipate.

18. Bachmann wants the attention
Sarah Palin gets. Palin was able to draw large crowds so Bachmann is determined to do the same. Sarah Palin is getting too much attention with her candidate endorsements and talk of appearing on Oprah so here comes Michele with her scare members of Congress tactic. They only care about themselves and the spotlight. Jealous and vindictive on both parts. If anything goes wrong MB would swear she wasn't trying to incite violence. Nope, just a friendly wake up call to members of Congress.

Edited on Thu Nov-05-09 12:54 PM by meow2u3
She is actually inciting acts of terrorism. Isn't it an act of terrorism to use violence or the threat of violence to intimidate the government to do the bidding of the teabaggers?

edit: spelling correction in subject line

25. Protesters of Health Care Reform Chant ‘Kill the Bill’ (NYT)
... It’s a generally older crowd, many in their 50s and 60s, predominantly, white, and many self-identified as Christians. They are fiercely conservative and deeply skeptical of the government, many of them deeply opposed to abortion rights ...

27. Capitol Hill Tea Party Seeks To 'Drive The Liberals Crazy' With Pledge Of Allegiance (TPM)
Eric Kleefeld | November 5, 2009, 12:30PM

At the Capitol Hill Tea Party just now, Rep. Todd Akin (R-MO) stepped up to lead the crowd in the Pledge of Allegiance -- which he said drives the liberals crazy ...

Other Republican members of Congress were on stage, too: Minority Leader John Boehner (OH), Minority Whip Eric Cantor (VA), Roy Blunt (MO), Jeb Hensarling (TX), Cathy McMorris Rodgers (WA), Michele Bachmann (MN) -- who was a key organizer of the event -- Virginia Foxx (NC), Ginny Brown-Waite (FL), Jean Schmidt (OH), Sue Myrick (NC), and many more.
